Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the vice-presidential of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), says the next NPP government would prioritise job creation for Ghanaians.
He emphasised that every governmental initiative will be geared towards delivering employment opportunities for the populace.
He made this commitment during a community engagement event in Elubo in the Western Region.
According to Dr Opoku Prempeh, the focus of the Bawumia government will predominantly be on generating employment.
He said the groundwork for job creation has already been laid through initiatives such as Free Senior High School (SHS) education, which aims to nurture the talents of students, and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programmes that equip the youth with the necessary skills for future employment.
The vice-presidential candidate outlined ambitious plans for the next NPP administration, including the construction of 111 hospitals, which is anticipated to result in the creation of over 67,000 jobs within the health sector alone.
“Dr. Bawumia intends to provide ICT training for one million young individuals, creating numerous job opportunities and expanding employment options significantly.” Dr Opoku Prempeh added.
He emphasised that increased job opportunities would not only benefit individuals but also boost the economy through enhanced purchasing power.
Dr Opoku Prempeh urged voters to support the NPP presidential candidate, and parliamentary candidates and underscored that their vote would help secure the implementation of these impactful programmes and ensure a brighter future for Ghana.
