The Electoral Commission (EC) has confirmed it is prepared for the Special Voting Exercise for Election 2024, scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2024, at 276 selected voting centers nationwide.

During a meeting with the National Security Task Force, led by Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akufo-Dampare, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa assured that all necessary arrangements are in place for a successful voting process on Monday.

For the general election on December 7, 2024, Jean Mensa reported that 95% of the ballot papers have been distributed, and biometric verification machines are being sent to district offices for use on Election Day.

Ballot papers were delivered on Tuesday, November 26, to the Northern, Bono, and Bono East regions, while other areas will receive theirs later.

The Special Voting Exercise allows certain registered voters, such as journalists and security personnel, to vote early due to their responsibilities during the general election on December 7.
