A President who was unable to provide mere chalks for schools does not deserve to return to the the presidency, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the NPP, has said.

Defying the rains to campaign at Wamfie in the Dormaa East constituency in the Bono Region, he said Mahama was a disaster of a president. “He cancelled teacher training allowance, he cancelled nursing training allowance, we slept in dumsor for four years, we queued fur petrol. It’s because of all this that Ghanaians voted to remove him in 2016,” he said.

He added: “And this is the man who is saying Ghanaians should bring him back. What is he coming back to do?”

The NPP presidential candidate therefore asked the people to completely reject the former President because he has nothing good to offer the nation.

NPP record
Zooming in on the NPP’s record in government, Dr Bawumia said monumental achievements have been recorded in the past seven plus years. “When we were bringing free SHS, John Mahama said we were deceiving Ghanaians. Today we’ve made it possible benefiting 5.7 million children so far,” he said.

Dr Bawumia stated that under his government, technology will be introduced into agriculture.

Best Vice President
Dr Bawumia said he has been the best vice president ever in the history of the country. “None has worked better than me. This means I have passed the Vice President exams so promote me to president. Give me the steer, give me the steer,” he told the excited crowd.

He thanked the people for the marvelous welcome given him. “The massive enthusiasm on display is a testament to your eagerness to help move Ghana on an accelerated path of development under a Bawumia Presidency,“ he stated.
