If Ghanaians had followed Mahama, there wouldn’t be free SHS today – Bawumia

NPP presidential candidate, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia has taken a swipe at double-tongued John Dramani Mahama for his deceptive remarks on free SHS.

He said if Ghanaians had listened to the former President, there would not be free SHS in Ghana today.

Campaigning in the Bono East Region, Dr Bawumia accused Mahama for vehemently opposing the policy before and after its inception.

Surprisingly, the same man turns round to claim credit for the very policy he opposed even before it was rolled out in 2017.

Benefits
Dr Bawumia gave an insight into how the free SHS policy has brought huge relief to parents and students and added that the NDC cannot be trusted to sustain it.

He, therefore urged the people to vote massively for him (Bawumia) to become President to build on what has been achieved under free SHS.

Campaign tour
Dr Bawumia began his campaign tour of the Bono East Region in the Sene East, Sene West and Atebubu Amantin constituencies last Monday.

He was gratified to hear the impact the policies implemented by the NPP government, such as Free SHS, major road construction and rehabilitation, and improved healthcare, had impacted the lives of the people. “Under a Bawumia Presidency we will do even more, implementing a bold new vision, new ideas and new solutions to address Ghana’s challenges,” he stated.
