Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer’s running mate, is starting a six-day tour of the Eastern Region from Wednesday, October 9, to Monday, October 14, 2024.

The goal of this tour is to energize the party’s supporters and gather backing for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the December elections.

On Day 1, Wednesday, October 9, Dr. Prempeh will visit the Afram Plains South and Afram Plains North Constituencies.

On Day 2, Thursday, October 10, he will meet with Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, and then head to Abuakwa South and Fanteakwa North for a program.

On Day 3, Friday, October 11, he will attend the CBOD Energy Manifesto Townhall in Accra and later visit Upper Manya Krobo.

On Day 4, Saturday, October 12, he has a durbar scheduled at Okyenhene’s Palace and will visit Upper West Akyem.

On Days 5 and 6, Sunday, October 13, and Monday, October 14, Dr. Prempeh will conclude his tour with visits to Akwatia and Ayensuano on Monday.

This tour is part of his broader campaign across the country, which started in the Ashanti Region in August.

He has been promoting Dr. Bawumia and emphasizing the NPP’s successes in areas like education, health, industrialization, and job creation.

With the December elections approaching, this tour is vital for securing votes for the NPP.
