Inspired by his Christian beliefs, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh stood before a large congregation at the Resurrection Power New Generation Church at Ngleshie Amanfro, Accra on Sunday, November 24, to seek God’s blessings and favour for the NPP to chalk a decisive victory in the upcoming elections.
A devout Christian known for using religious language in speeches, the NPP vice presidential candidate, popularly known as Napo, fellowshipped with the congregation on the day.
He said the NPP believes that God rules in the affairs of men, and that without God, there is nothing one can do. For that reason, Dr Opoku Prempeh, said God’s guidance, blessings, and favour for the NPP, led by Dr Bawumia, is crucial.
Service in humility
NAPO indicated that the next NPP government led by Dr Bawumia seeks to serve Ghana in humility and be vessels of progress and prosperity for the people.
Peace
He also called for prayers for the peace of the nation as elections approach. Emphasising the power of God in the affairs of men, NAPO quoted from Psalm 62:11, which says, “Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God.”
He introduced the NPP parliamentary candidate for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro constituency, Sylvester Tetteh, to the congregation and appealed to them to vote for him.
