The Vice-Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has appealed to the Islamic Community in Ashanti Region to vote for the party to ensure that Ghana produce the first Muslim president.

“Our commitment of advocating for harmonious coexistence among Ghanaians, free from religious and ethnic divisions, remains steadfast as I met with the Islamic clergy to preach our message of hope and bold solution,” Napo stated.

“I reminded them that, NPP is a party founded on diversity, where hard work and competence are the only conditions precedent for progress.”

He added that the party has consistently demonstrated, through its presidential ticket, its dedication to uniting the nation and assured them of my unbridled loyalty to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia—Insha Allah, Ghana’s first Muslim President to be—as he leads the transformative agenda for our country.

Napo indicated that Ghana must never be divided along any line be they religious, ethnic, or otherwise because true development transcends these divisions.

“We are one people, bound by a common destiny,” he stated.

He revealed that a vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will ensure that Ghana stays united because he is an embodiment of same.
