Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has received praise from the Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin for the able manner he led the successful implementation of the Free Senior High School ( SHS) policy.

He also commended Dr Prempeh (Napo) for his hard work and humility.

Receiving the vice presidential candidate at the Ofori Panin Fie at Kyebi on Thursday, October 10, the Okyenhene said if today, Free SHS has been internationally recognized, one name that will be etched in the history books is Dr Prempeh.

The NPP vice presidential candidate was at Kyebi at the start of his campaign tour of the Eastern Region.

Osagyefuo Ofori Panin recognized Napo for the boldness with which he led the process of implementing the Free SHS policy.

Good policies
He pointed out that even though chiefs are not allowed to do politics, he would always support a leader who has good ideas for the nation.

On that basis, the Okyenhene praised the NPP government for its laudable initiatives.

Humility
Osagyefuo Ofori Panin also praised Napo for his humility, and his respect for people, especially the elderly. He said having known Napo for some time, he has no doubt that he is qualified to occupy the position of Vice President.

The Okyenhene encouraged Napo to maintain his remarkable attitude, while urging other public officials to emulate his lifestyle. “May God bless you. Okyeman will pray for you (Napo) as you tour the country to campaign”, Osagyefuo Ofori Panin told him.

Gratitude
In a speech, Napo said he couldn’t campaign in Okyeman without first paying his respects to the Okyenhene. “It is great seeing another father figure in my life, a man who has been an invaluable source of support and wisdom over the years. I am sincerely grateful for your prayers, blessings, direction and words of wisdom for Dr Bawumia, myself and the NPP“ he said.

Napo campaigned in the Abuakwa South and Fanteakwa North constituencies yesterday.
