Broadcaster Kofi Adomah, who is currently battling a life-threatening eye injury, has expressed his deep disappointment in Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, accusing him of neglect and betrayal.

Kofi broke his silence regarding the injury he sustained during a musketry display at the Kwafie Festival in Dormaa Ahenkro in December 2024, when gunpowder struck his left eye.

Despite undergoing several procedures to save his sight, there has been considerable controversy surrounding his injury.

Not Even a Phone Call
At a press conference on March 13, 2025, Kofi revealed that he has not received a single phone call from the Dormaahene since the incident.

He emphasized that at least a phone call would have comforted him during this difficult time. While he has received immense support from notable figures such as Kwaku Oteng and businessman Ibrahim Mahama, he is particularly disappointed that the Dormaahene, in whose honour he was working when the injury occurred, has not reached out to check on his well-being.

Severe Pain
Kofi Adomah, who hails from Banda in the Bono Region, shared his pain during the press conference, stating that he is not making these remarks to seek financial help from the Dormaahene.
“I’m in severe pain with my head aching badly, but I need to speak out before anything happens,” he said.

He expressed his shock at the betrayal, saying, “If anyone would do this to me, I didn’t expect it to come from my own Bono people.”

Kofi added that he has suffered greatly while working for his community, and he feels let down in return. “This could have been my funeral,” he stated, emphasizing the gravity of his situation. “I want to say everything before anything happens to me.”
