Ghanaians are urging President John Dramani Mahama to disclose the whereabouts of Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
It has been nearly a month since she was flown out of the country for medical treatment after reportedly collapsing in her office but there has not been any official update on her.
The government’s silence regarding the Vice President’s condition has raised concerns among many citizens. There is widespread speculation due to the lack of official statements about her health.

Initial communication

On March 30, 2025, the Presidency released a statement confirming that Vice President Opoku-Agyemang had been sent abroad for further medical treatment.
This followed her initial care at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) due to a sudden illness on Friday, March 28, 2025.
The statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister for Government Communications, indicated that medical experts had advised her to seek additional treatment overseas for a complete recovery.

Apprehension

Many Ghanaians are concerned about the Vice President’s health and are questioning why the government has remained silent on the issue.
Citizens on social media are calling on the government to come out on her whereabouts and current health status, believing they have the right to know about the condition of their Vice President.
