KGL Group is on track to fulfill its commitment to constructing a state-of-the-art mental health facility in Kumasi to serve the northern zone of the country.

This project is being undertaken in collaboration with Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The sod-cutting ceremony took place in February 2025, and work is progressing steadily.

Expected to be completed within 12 months, it will provide comprehensive mental health services to address the growing needs of the Ashanti region and beyond.

Commitment to Asanteman

This initiative is part of KGL Group’s ongoing commitment, through its foundation, KGL Foundation, to raise mental health awareness and provide essential support across the country.

During the sod-cutting ceremony in February, Alex Dadey, the Executive Chairman of KGL Group, emphasized the importance of the project, stating, “We believe that mental health is a vital component of overall wellness, and we are dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote mental health education and care. The construction of this ultra-modern facility further highlights KGL Group’s substantial contributions to the development of Asanteman over the past four years.”

He added, “This latest endeavor builds upon our previous efforts in support of Asanteman. Notably, we played a key role as one of the major contributors to the Otumfuo Commemorative Gold Coin, which honors His Majesty’s significant legacy and contributions to the community. In light of the 25 significant years of Otumfuo’s rule, it is imperative that we continue to support Asanteman significantly, and KGL Group will continue to do so.”
