Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will file his nomination for the 2024 presidential election on Monday, September 9, 2024.

The 60-year-old economist and Vice President will do this in the company of his running mate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

Also to accompany the flagbearer will be national executives of the NPP and some leading members of his campaign team.

Headquarters
According to a programme line up, Dr Bawumia will visit the NPP headquarters after filing his nomination at the Electoral Commission headquarters. It is likely Dr Bawumia will make a statement at the party headquarters.

Elections
The NPP is keen on breaking the 8-year election cycle between them and the NDC, in the December 7 elections. He has been on the ground campaigning in the constituencies with his Bold Solutions agenda. His running mate has also intensified his campaign for the election of Dr Bawumia and NPP parliamentary candidates in some key areas of the country.
